Water Play

On Saturday, Brynn and I met Stephanie (a co-worker) and her daughter Samantha (a little over 1.5 years old) at Southlands Farmers Market to walk around, play in the water, and have lunch. The girls had a blast with the water sprayer things and they both were wet by the time we were done.

Lil Art has entered the world...yesterday

Baby Arturo entered the world yesterday, but Brynn and I went to visit him today at the hospital. He is so cute and has the sweetest little faces. Congrats to the family and we love you!

My New Man...

After months of begging, whining, and basically trying to ignore the never-ending curls on my husbands head....he has cut it all off! He looks like a new man or I guess the man I used to know...so I guess he is my "old" new man. :) The curls were nice for a bit, but I'm glad to have the "old do" back.

Mid-week Update

Not much going on in our family, just the norm. Dan's last day of work at Lowe's will be on or before August 1st, and we are both so excited! I'm ready to have someone to help me out with Brynn in the evenings again. Other than that, not a whole lot more going on. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Bloody Nose

Last night Brynn was getting out of bed to come and tell me something (she does this about 3 times before she actually falls asleep), when all of the sudden I hear this horrible crying. I get up to go in her room thinking that she's probably just tripped and fallen down. Well she had, but then i saw in the dark, these darker spots on the floor where she had fallen and I realized they were blood spots. When I picked her up, her nose was bleeding out of one nostril, just pretty much constantly dribbling out. Meanwhile, while Mommy is trying to figure out what to do, Brynn is freaking out as she looks at her hands with blood all over them! I eventually get her calmed down and the bleeding stopped she goes back to bed. I'm not really sure what hurt her, but I assumed that her nose got knocked just the right way to make it bleed. We'll see if she complains today that it hurts. We will spend the day trying to clean off the blood spots on the floor in her room. :) Have a great weekend!

First Visit to the Dentist

Brynn had her first visit to the dentist this morning and she did great!!! We went to a pediatric dentist Dr. Jesse Witkoff, aka Dr. Jesse at A Wild Smile (www.awildsmile.com), and she did really good! Visit the website to read more about their approach to dentistry and see their office (the pictures for the Stapleton location where we went are the old office...but their new office looks pretty much the same)! I wish this was around when I was little!

Relaxed...

I am having such a nice relaxing day...wish I could say the same for Dan since he's at work. :( Brynn and I went grocery shopping this morning, and have been home since then. Nothing else planned for the day, but Dan's hockey game and Brynn and I won't be going as it's at the cold ice rink. :) Then tomorrow is Brynn's first dentist appointment!!! :)

A day in pictures...

We had a blast today!!! Sissy and Austin came down for July 4th lunch and swimming and fun was had by all. We had burgers and salmon burgers, with Mom's baked beans, Sissy's yummy Potato Salad, and after swimming we had Sissy's homemade ice cream and Brynn's cupcakes. :) Swimming was really fun too, as Brynn finally decided she would get in the pool. Another little boy there had the cutest Nemo and Dori fish that swam around throughout the pool and Brynn loved those!!
